Research Standards
& Documentation
Every compound supplied by NEO Labs is manufactured under controlled conditions, independently verified by third-party ISO-accredited laboratories, and documented with batch-specific Certificates of Analysis. Our materials are supplied strictly for in vitro laboratory research use only.
All NEO Labs products are classified as Research Use Only (RUO) under FDA guidelines. This means they are manufactured, labeled, and sold exclusively for in vitro laboratory research — not for human or veterinary use.
What Are Research Peptides?
Research peptides are short-chain amino acid sequences synthesized for use in laboratory and preclinical research settings. They serve as analytical tools and reference standards in in vitro studies — distinct from pharmaceutical or therapeutic-grade compounds.
In Vitro Research
Research peptides are used exclusively in controlled laboratory settings — cell cultures, analytical assays, receptor binding studies, and preclinical investigations. They are not designed or approved for in vivo use in humans or animals.
Analytical Standards
Every NEO Labs compound is supplied with a batch-specific Certificate of Analysis (CoA) confirming purity by HPLC and identity by mass spectrometry. The CoA is the only meaningful quality metric — not marketing adjectives.
Regulatory Framework
RUO products are exempt from FDA pre-market drug approval as long as they are manufactured, labeled, and sold within permitted boundaries. NEO Labs enforces strict RUO compliance at every stage — from labeling to checkout acknowledgment.
Our Testing Process
All peptides are synthesized using solid-phase peptide synthesis (SPPS) in ISO-certified laboratories under strict environmental controls. Raw amino acid materials are sourced from verified suppliers.
Reverse-phase HPLC is performed on every batch at 220nm. Only batches achieving ≥99.0% purity are accepted. Results are recorded in the batch-specific CoA.
Electrospray ionization mass spectrometry (ESI-MS) is used to confirm molecular identity and verify the expected molecular weight of every compound before release.
Once QC is complete, the batch-specific CoA is issued and attached to the order. Compounds are lyophilized, sealed, and dispatched with secure packaging within 72 hours.
Every batch must pass all of the following specifications before it is approved for release and dispatch to research customers.
Researcher FAQ
RUO means the product is manufactured and sold exclusively for in vitro laboratory research. It is not approved for, and must not be used for, human consumption, injection, veterinary use, or any diagnostic or therapeutic application.
Yes. Every order ships with a batch-specific Certificate of Analysis confirming HPLC purity and mass spectrometry identity. The CoA is unique to the exact lot being shipped — not a generic document.
All compounds achieve ≥99.0% purity by reverse-phase HPLC before release. The exact purity figure for each batch is reported on the CoA. We do not release batches below this threshold.
Lyophilized peptides should be stored at −20°C, protected from light and moisture. Once reconstituted in an appropriate solvent, store at 4°C and use within 30 days. Avoid repeated freeze-thaw cycles.
Intended for qualified research professionals. However, by placing an order you confirm that you are a qualified researcher and that all compounds will be used solely for legitimate in vitro research purposes in an appropriate facility.
Purity (HPLC %) measures how much of the sample is the target peptide versus synthesis impurities. Net peptide content accounts for water, counterions, and residual solvents — giving the true active mass. Both are reported on our CoA.
Compliance Framework
NEO Labs maintains strict compliance with all applicable regulations governing the sale of research-grade compounds in the United States.
Every product, checkout page, CoA, and shipping document carries clear RUO designation. We do not make therapeutic or diagnostic claims at any touchpoint.
All customers must confirm at checkout that they are qualified researchers and that compounds will be used solely for in vitro research. This acknowledgment is recorded per order.
Batch-specific CoA, Safety Data Sheet (SDS), and endotoxin test results are available for every compound. Documentation is retained for full traceability.
